Just wishing everyone a wonderful New Year - hope everyone's plans and wishes come true (even better if they are financially viable!)
Got back from the farm - the girls had a great time feeding the sheep. The chickens stayed away from us and only one egg could be found (less eggs in the winter). Lots of giggling in the house. DD was also happy watching TV at Grandma's because she has Dish TV (we have no cable, etc.) and got to watch Disney and Nickelodeon channels.
My folks also have a lot of baby lambs and plan to give my any my siblings lots of lamb in a few months (to eat). I just have to pay the cost to the butcher for packaging the meat, about $35. Seems like a good deal for a whole animal - chops, leg of lamb, roasts, etc. Yum.
On the way back I stopped at Stater Brothers to pickup some whole chickens at 69 cents/lb (good price for this area) and NY Steak at $2.77/lb (also a good deal). Not sure which we may have tonight for a New Year's Eve supper, but either will be good.
Enjoy the evening and the New Year!
Happy New Year to All!
